What materials should be used when installing partitions?
If the owners of apartments and cottages have decided to build partitions from drywall with their own hands, step-by-step instructions will help them conduct the entire range of activities quickly and in accordance with established standards. Before proceeding with the installation, property owners need to purchase the required amount of material and consumables, as well as purchase or rent a construction tool:
- drywall sheets (their thickness should be within 12.50 mm);
- galvanized metal profile;
- plumb line (designed for mounting guides);
- timber from natural solid wood (must be dry and even);
- building level (you can use a tool of any size);
- tape measure, the length of which should vary from 5 to 10 m;
- short and long self-tapping screws (galvanized), dowels;
- electric drill, screwdriver, puncher;
- metal corners, mesh, putty knife, putty, sandpaper, primer, insulation and facing material.

What is the principle of installation
The erection of drywall partitions must be carried out in strict sequence. This process is usually divided into several stages:
- Creation of a metal frame for the future partition.
- Carrying out sound and heat insulation measures.
- Installation of the necessary utilities.
- Sheathing of the structure with sheets of plasterboard.
- Decorative facing of the partition.
The owners of country houses and city apartments who plan to make partitions from hl with their own hands often cannot decide what material to use to create a frame. Two options are available for them: metal profiles and wooden bars. To determine and make the right choice, it is necessary to study the technical and operational characteristics of both materials. As a result, metal profiles "win", since they have a lot of advantages, which include the following:
- they already have the necessary holes for electrical cables;
- galvanized profiles will not deform when exposed to moisture;
- they will be able to perform their functions for a longer period of time;
- the plasterboard structure will not diverge corners, and it will always have a presentable appearance.
Step-by-step instruction
If the owners of residential premises do not know how to properly construct drywall partitions with their own hands, step-by-step instructions will help them with this. They need to act in a specific sequence:
- First of all, you will have to perform the markup: on the floor and on ceiling lines are drawn that will determine location of the partition... After that, the profile guides are fixed to the surfaces, by means of self-tapping screws (their location is controlled by plumb lines). The next step is to install vertical guides, for which the horizontal profiles will serve as a support. In all places where the bearing elements of the structure are joined, it is necessary to fix it using short self-tapping screws. After installing all the metal profiles, you can proceed to the next step.
- Performing the installation of a partition from gcl with their own hands, the owners of the premises are advised to carry out their thermal insulation and the necessary electrical communications. To insulate the partition, it is necessary to lay an insulating material (for example, mineral wool, sheets of foam or expanded polystyrene) into all formed cavities of the structure.
- The next stage of installation work involves covering the metal structure with plasterboard sheets. In some places, you will have to use pieces of hl of different sizes (for cutting drywall, you can use a special construction knife, which moves at an angle of 45 degrees). At the bottom of the structure, you need to leave a small gap, for which you can use various supports. When fixing drywall, use galvanized self-tapping screws, the step between which should not exceed 20 cm. Metal corners are glued to the corners of the partition, which are putty before facing.
- After finishing the plating process, a construction mesh is glued to all joints, after which they are plastered. As soon as the putty dries, it should be sanded (this can be done with sandpaper). Before applying decorative cladding, it is recommended to prime the gypsum plasterboard surfaces and after the solution has completely dried, you can proceed to the finishing.

Conclusion
The construction of various drywall partitions allows the owners of the premises to realize their any fantasies.The advantages of such redevelopment include the following:
- Plasterboard structures are lightweight, so that additional physical stress will not be exerted on the load-bearing elements of the building.
- Ease of installation allows property owners to independently carry out the entire range of activities.
- Environmental friendliness. This characteristic of drywall makes it possible to use it in residential premises, regardless of their purpose.
- A large number of positive characteristics include fire resistance, thanks to which plasterboard partitions can be installed even in rooms with an increased level of fire hazard.
